Plot: The Unmourned Are Never at Peace
The story is about Jason, a man who starts over by moving into a new house — and realizes that something else has taken up residence there. The house conceals secrets of the former family’s mysterious vanishing, and Jason’s nights are soon haunted by ghostly visions and mounting paranoia.
As secrets of his own are revealed, Jason must decide if an even more terrifying future awaits him, or whether he can bury it all behind him and start again.
Gameplay and Core Mechanics
Game play Unmourned’s game play focus is more tension and random events than combat. Players need to survive mentally and emotionally as they do physically.
Key Features:
- Random Event System:
Randomized haunting: by using a randomized system make every play session feel different from the last. - Sanity System:
The more time Jason spends in the darkness, the crazier his view of reality becomes. As his sanity decreases, so does the power of the supernatural. - Night Vision Camera:
Walk through pitch-black corridors and reveal nightmarish horrors with a night-vision camera. - Photographic Camera:
Record concealed people and evidence, for sometimes the truth is only visible through a camera.
