The Division 2: Battle for Brooklyn

Developed by Ubisoft, Tom Clancy's Division 2: Battle for Brooklyn is a 3rd person shooting thriller with a deep narrative and intense goal. Just like the previous versions of the Division 2, the game comes with a campaign mode that can be played solely or in co-op mode with friends over the internet. This season will be bringing new narrative campaign with new missions, skills, Hunter riddles, an exotic gear piece and many more to unleash during the campaign mode. Players will be taking on The Division's most critical mission yet, where they will tackle unmatched dangers as they pull Brooklyn back from the brink.

Story and Setting

Story and Setting

After the city of Washington DC, The City of Brooklyn is now facing the same horrors of the Cleaners and standing on the verge of brink. If not saved, it will become a disaster for the whole Humanity. The Cleaners are back but now in the city of Brooklyn with a new deadly technology known as the Purple Flames. They have crossed the river and are targeting innocent civilians with their deadly tech weapons. This enhanced type of fire doesn't just burn---it causes Corrosion, a layered effect that combines initial burn damage with ongoing armor degradation. Agents caught in the blast will need to act quickly; Armor Kits can remove part of the effect, while stepping out of combat will gradually clear the damage over time. The players will confront them head on while seeking the root of this deadly nuisance and trying to figure a way out to get rid of this "Purple Flame Technology".

The new Battle for Brooklyn DLC takes place across two new neighborhoods - Brooklyn Heights and Dumbo. While some areas may seem familiar from the first moments of The Division, much of these neighborhoods is new for players to explore. The season is autumn, brightening up the tree-lined streets with fall colors for the first time in the franchise, and the story is set a few months after the events of the Warlords of New York expansion. No prior knowledge of recent seasonal storylines is required, so it's suited for both veteran and new players alike. (Ubisoft)

New Features and Gameplay Enhancements

  1. Smart Cover Skill
The Smart Cover makes a return to the Division 2: Battle for Brooklyn. This was originally a part of the first game and is introduced again to provide the nostalgic experience to the players. The Smart Cover skill, when used, deploys a projectile that creates a specific radius of effect by sticking to the surfaces that may be grounds or walls. The players present inside its radius of effect are provided with a cover and are reinforced. This skill can be used in both PvP and PvE, aiding in both the defensive as well as offensive gaming.

  1. Catalyst Exotic Mask
This component is an exclusive exotic mask that can be found during the campaign. It provides bonuses related to status effect damage, enhancing both offensive and defensive capabilities. Furthermore, the uniqueness of this Mask offers increased vitality, increased ability to handle weapon damage and stability under burning conditions.

  1. Expanded Open World
The Division 2: Battle for Brooklyn introduces 2 new neighborhoods - Brooklyn Heights and Dumbo, thus enhancing the vastness of the previous world which included only Washington DC. With this expansion the players can now explore new areas as well as the play on the nostalgic environments from the previous releases.

  1. Increased Stash Space
Developers have now overcame the most probable cause of the negative feedbacks of the previous releases by expanding the inventory storage.
