Battlefield 6 Release: Launch Time, Secure Boot, PC Requirements & What You Need to Know
Well, the unbearable wait is almost over — it’s official: Battlefield 6 launches October 10, 2025. No early access, no regional wait times — we’re all dropping in at the same time: 8 a.m. PT / 11 a.m. ET / 5 p.m. CET.
EA will release a necessary patch update before launch day. Or if your platform does not auto-update, manually download to prevent any launch-based headaches.
PCs Will Have to Use Secure Boot Now
If you’re gaming on a PC, take this seriously: Secure Boot needs to be turned on. It’s there because of EA's Javelin Anti-Cheat, a new system designed to thwart cheats at the hardware level.
Here’s what you need to do:
- Press Win + R, input msinfo32 and click OK to open System Information.
- Under where it says “System Information,” look for Secure Boot State.
- If it is Off, try restarting your PC and enabling it from your BIOS/UEFI.
EA also suggests leaving these on:
- TPM 2.0 enabled
- HVCI and VBS capable
- Latest Windows 10 or 11 build
If Secure Boot is not enabled, Battlefield 6 will straight up refuse to start. It might not work on all of the company’s older boards, so check early in your project.
